Demonstrations of tube bending on the Sandvik stand at Tube 2016 will be used to show the versatility and how the controlled hardness of Sandvik tube sets a standard of its own for easy bending and leak free connections of the company’s hydraulic and instrumentation tubing.

2016-04-08 091505“We are sure the demonstrations and the fact that people can have a go at bending the tube themselves will raise awareness of the quality of our products as well as show the marked difference in weight and strength between material grades,” explained Haydn Eagle, Sandvik Regional Sales Manager EMEA, Tube. “The exhibition provides us with an ideal platform to invite visitors to discuss any corrosion issues they are looking to resolve and in response explain how our products can help solve these issues.

“At Tube 2016 we will also be announcing the addition of an austenitic nickel-chromium material grade to our stock programme bringing with it operational benefits to customers installing equipment in harsh conditions.”

Of significant importance is the continuous and efficient operation of process plants, such as chemical, petrochemical, refineries and pulp and paper. These rely on the correct selection of seamless tube and pipe material grades for use in coolers, condensers, boilers and heat exchangers as well as in the hydraulic and instrumentation tubing, so important in plant control.

Displays will show smarter ways to combat corrosion and visitors can exchange ideas with Sandvik materials experts on the stand throughout the exhibition. “Discussions on the challenges of pitting, cracking and stress corrosion and how better alloys, duplex steels and top end austenitic alloys across our tube portfolio can help drive out corrosion in order to optimize plant operational productivity.

“The aim is to clearly demonstrate our ability to provide customers with pioneering, market leading solutions that not only bring increased operational benefits, but also provide true operational cost savings over the life of the equipment in which they are installed,” added Haydn Eagle.

Innovative seamless tube and pipe solutions in corrosion resistant alloys designed to provide operational benefits in some of the most demanding production environments in the world will be displayed on the stand. Complementary wire products from Sandvik, including some of the latest product offerings and welding consumables, will also be featured.

Presentations and demonstrations will take place on the stand throughout the exhibition, all designed to raise awareness of the operational benefits offered by Sandvik materials in demanding applications.
