Moog – a designer and manufacturer of high performance motion control products, solutions, and services – will be exhibiting a range of its innovative technology at the EuroBLECH Trade Show held at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds, Hannover Germany (Hall 27, Booth G174) between 23 and 26 October.

2018 10 22 102343EuroBLECH is the largest international trade show for the sheet metal and metal working industry, and features over 1,500 exhibitors from 40 countries. This year Moog will exhibit its 360° Solution, offering electric, hydraulic and hybrid technologies. The Solution deploys a ‘technology neutral’ approach, through which the company helps metal and metal working machine builders make use of technology that helps achieve all of their performance goals.

At EuroBLECH Moog will launch its new Modular Die Cushion System, which will feature as a live display. Moog`s new system includes a main cylinder with integrated position measuring technology, accumulators, a hydraulic power unit and a number of manifolds. The system features software libraries, and the control unit’s hardware components provide a compact, robust hydraulic system enabling highly dynamic control.

Customers will benefit from Moog‘s extensive experience in developing motion control technology for metal presses. As a package, the Modular Die Cushion System can save both time and money. Its easy-to-use software enables a longer life for deep-drawing dies, higher system reliability and reduced time required for commissioning the system in the plant.

Also on display at this year’s show will be one of Moog’s other key new products, the Electrohydrostatic Pump Unit (EPU). The EPU is a next-generation, hybrid system designed to combine the advantages of both electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical technologies. It brings together the reduced consumption of an electrical system, and the power of a highly reliable hydraulic system with easy energy storage for failsafe motion. The unit is available either as a single product, or as an integrated Electrohydrostatic Actuation System (EAS) that combines the EPU with additional components the customer requires.

The EAS is an equally important part of Moog’s 360° approach, and the company designed it to help customers achieve optimum solutions that meet specific machine needs across multiple applications. This technology helps to implement a decentralized motion control system that eliminates the need for the hydraulic power unit, complex piping and filtration systems, thereby reducing the need for additional space on each axis.

Moog’s Large Motor Solution (LMS), another of the new products featured at this year’s EuroBLECH, has been designed to provide a highly dynamic, high torque and reliable throughput for the next generation of metal working machinery. The LMS is a new primary motion system for servo control from 139 kW to 1 MW, that offers the highest dynamics available to the metal industry. It also features an integrated system architecture that provides energy savings and higher productivity. The motor is available with collaborative engineering support that will help simplify engineering challenges, and comes with tools that will facilitate quicker machine design and commissioning time.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Moog stand at this year’s EuroBLECH where visitors will able to view our electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical and hybrid motion control products and solutions. Each of these products support metal forming and press machinery manufacturers with all they need to optimize their designs. EuroBLECH 2018, the 25th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition, takes place from 23 – 26 October 2018 at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds in Germany. Six months ahead of the show, around 1,400 exhibitors from 38 countries already secured their stand space at the world’s leading trade exhibition for the sheet metal working industry. Currently, major exhibitor countries are Germany, Italy, Turkey, China, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and the USA. At present, the exhibiting companies have secured almost the entire exhibition space from the previous event. EuroBLECH 2016 concluded with a record net exhibition space of 87,800 square metres.

2018 05 08 102221Every two years, EuroBLECH is the must-attend event for design engineers, production managers, quality managers, buyers, manufacturers, technical directors and experts from associations and R&D in order to discover the latest trends and machinery in sheet metal working. Visitors to this year’s show can expect the complete spectrum of intelligent solutions and innovative machinery for modern production in sheet metal working, which are presented in form of numerous live demonstrations at the exhibition stands. At the moment, the digital transformation is playing a major role in the industry, which enables an increased efficiency and thus a higher level of automation and predictive maintenance. These developments are reflected in this year’s motto for EuroBLECH “Step into the digital reality”, since Industry 4.0 and the relating Smart Factory have become major topics in sheet metal working. This has now become an important area for small and medium-sized companies planning to invest in these technologies in the near future in order to gain a competitive advantage in their market.

„The digital transformation is momentarily an important topic in the industry. This requires a close collaboration along the entire value chain, from production control to maintenance“, says Evelyn Warwick, Exhibition Director of EuroBLECH, on behalf of the organiser Mack Brooks Exhibitions. „The biggest challenge for companies in the sheet metal working industry is to create an intelligent manufacturing environment which is based on the secure exchange of data and the networking of machines and processes. EuroBLECH 2018 offers its visitors the possibility to find solutions for these challenges and to connect with business partners to help them with the integration of these processes, machines and systems into their production“, continues Evelyn Warwick.

Quality and innovation in sheet metal working lead the way to Industry 4.0

2017 10 03 064909EuroBLECH 2018, the 25th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition, will take place from 23 – 26 October 2018 at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds in Germany. One year ahead of the world’s leading sheet metal working technology exhibition, which is once again occupying eight halls in Hanover, the stand reservation at the organisers Mack Brooks Exhibitions has already begun. The last event in 2016 closed with very positive results: with 1,505 exhibitors from 41 countries exhibiting on a net exhibition space of 87,800 square metres and 60,636 visitors from 102 countries.

For the next event, besides major topics such as lightweight construction, hybrid production processes and additive manufacturing, the main focus will be on networked manufacturing. Increasing efficiency, improvement in performance of machines and systems, networking of components and predictive maintenance to reduce downtimes – these are the key points of Industry 4.0. To implement this trend in production reality it is vital to introduce high-quality sophisticated systems as well as innovative software and all-in-one systems. In addition, the Factory of the Future is based upon increased data security as well as company-wide cooperation to develop new solutions.

“The first applicable systems of Industry 4.0 have already been presented at EuroBLECH 2016. In the meantime, the development continues rapidly. Now it will be exciting to see how this trend further evolves and will be established in the production industry – from small and medium-sized companies to large corporations. Hence, this offers enormous opportunities and potential to manufacturers and suppliers of machinery and solutions in the sheet metal working industry”, says Nicola Hamann, Managing Director of the organisers of EuroBLECH, Mack Brooks Exhibitions.

“We are therefore very pleased to offer our exhibitors once again a high-quality international platform for the presentation of their latest machines, systems and solutions. At EuroBLECH 2018, they will be able to present these to a specialised trade audience who are ready to invest in the latest technology. EuroBLECH 2018 will take place for the 25th time in its history, and as the world’s leading sheet metal working technology exhibition, will once again be the showcase for technological development and the economic trend barometer. It will be building the platform to support the sheet metal working industry in its long-term development”, continues Nicola Hamann.
