Asia's Most Important Fair for Joining, Cutting and Surfacing Technologies Once More a Great Success

Around 1,000 Exhibitors and 23,400 Visitors Emphasise Top Position

2016-10-10 212309With record values, the 21st BEIJING ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING was able to confirm its significance as Asia's most important trade fair for joining, cutting and surfacing technologies.  Over 1,000 exhibitors presented their  products  and services in the New China International  Exhibition Center Beijing. With an attractive  portfolio, the largest sectoral event  after Essen's premier global fair SCHWEISSEN&SCHNEIDEN lured around 23,400 visitors. In addition to trade visitors from the Middle Kingdom, experts from Germany, Russia, Australia, India and a large number of other states also used the sectoral platform in order to obtain information, exchange ideas and place orders.

Exhibitors from 28 countries emphasised the international significance of the fair. Around 20 companies  introduced their products and services on the German cooperative booth which was called "Made in Germany" and was promoted by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. In total, 155 international firms and  853  Chinese firms presented themselves at  the fair. BEIJING ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING was organised in cooperation between Messe Essen, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the German Welding Society (DVS).

China as an Important Production, Sales and Innovation Market

On an exhibition area of over 90,000 square metres, the trade visitors were able to gain an overview of the innovations in the sector. This year, attention focused on installations and systems for computer-assisted fabrication, measuring technology as well as the equipping of workplaces. Exhibitors and trade visitors showed that they were extremely satisified with the fair which alternates between Shanghai and Beijing. The New China International Exhibition Center Beijing offered the perfect setting for this event in a market with a great demand for solutions relating to all aspects of welding, cutting and joining: With a crude steel production of 800 million tonnes, China is one of the most significant steel producers worldwide.

Trade Fair is Convincing with a Comprehensive Supporting Programme

With a  top-class accompanying programme, BEIJING ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING offered a lot of space for the exchange of subject-related knowledge. In more than 20 forums, conferences and technical workshops, discussions were held and it  was possible to experience  technologies  directly in situ. One particular highlight was offered by the "China Welding Forum 2016" which was staged by the China Welding Association and addressed the subject  of  the chances and challenges of robot welding.

The 22nd edition of BEIJING ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING will take place in
Shanghai from June 27 to 30, 2017.
