Wire and Tube Southeast ASIA 2013, the foremost specialist events for Thailand and the region’s wire, cable, tube and pipe industries, open its doors today at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). Organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia, more than 350 international exhibitors from over 30 countries are on show from today to 19 September. Over 6,000 visitors are expected to attend wire and Tube Southeast ASIA over the three days.
With international companies making up 97% of the exhibitor profile, demand has been particularly strong with representation from eight national pavilion and country groups including Austria, China, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan, and USA. Officially opened by Mr Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, President of the Thailand Conventions and Exhibitions Bureau (TCEB) said, “The international line-up of exhibitors and national pavilions and groups lend wire and Tube Southeast ASIA a truly global flavour and will also add to Thailand’s continued success to becoming a truly ASEAN exhibition platform.”
This year, wire Southeast ASIA focuses on the themes of automation, integrated processing solutions and the latest range of high-performance machinery for wire and cable manufacturing. “As the focus of the global economy is set increasingly on Southeast Asia, wire and Tube Southeast ASIA has become the most important event on the calendar for wire, cable, tube and pipe companies from overseas looking to do business in Thailand and to tap into the emerging economies in Southeast Asia. It is a global networking and business platform for market leaders to connect commercially to this dynamic and fast expanding region whilst sharing useful insights on the latest technologies and innovations.” said Mr Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia.
Influx of first-time exhibitors to the trade fairs
wire and Tube Southeast ASIA 2013 will bring together some of the world’s leading brand names from the wire, cable, tube and pipe sectors showcasing innovations and trends on high-performing machinery and equipment, manufacturing and processing technologies, as well as materials and accessories. This has also encouraged an increase of first time exhibitors from Asia including China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
The increase in interest from Southeast Asia is in tandem with the robust industrial and infrastructure growth in the region particularly in the automotive, electrical and electronics, construction and petrochemical sectors, “which is expected to further advance demand for wire and tube solutions,” said Mr Ringling.
In addition to new wire and cable products, the impressive list of exhibitors extend from raw material producers to suppliers, processors and technology manufacturers through to service providers for the wire, cable, tube and pipe industries making it a truly global networking and business platform.
The two trade fairs will also focus on solutions that enhance productivity and operational efficiency for the main application markets such as; automotive, building and construction, electricity, energy, and telecommunications.
